‘A lucky man’

The local school system, from nursery school through law school, has been good for many local residents and their families, Andy Phillips writes in a guest column supporting passage of the referendum to raise funds to build a new high school. Phillips points to the quality of education and its draw on outsiders, and says it’s time to support a move to continue that high level available to local residents. (October 13, 2010, Page 4)

      Crucial meeting set on bond issue

      You can help decide Monday whether the Oxford School District moves forward with a possible $30 million bond referendum to build a new high school and make other capital improvements. The Oxford School Board meets at 5 p.m. Monday at Oxford High School to gather input from the community about the bond issue before it votes to place the referendum before the voters. (July 16, 2010, Page 1A)
