The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office issued a press release Monday addressing recent questions, blogs and social media posts accusing several Mississippi counties, including Lafayette County, of denying supporters of Sen. Six-term Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran beat challenger Chris McDaniel for the win in a tight Republican runoff race earning 50.9 percent of the votes.
In Lafayette County, voters continued to back Cochran giving him about 67 percent of the votes. (June 24, 2014, Page 1, 14)
