    The Oxford Police Department is still searching for the man who robbed Cash Advance on Monday afternoon. The suspect fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured and no weapon was presented, only implied. (November 22, 2011, Page 2)

        OPD nabs suspected bank robber

        BREAKING NEWS: The Oxford Police Department has taken into custody an alleged bank robber who reportedly robbed the Federal Credit Union near Malco Oxford Cinema.

        The suspect was apprehended without incident near the bank about 20 minutes after the call was dispatched.

        A call came into 911 about 1:10 p.m. saying a black male, about 5-foot, 8-inches tall in a brown shirt with yellow stripes robbed the bank.

        All entrances to the old mall and Malco were closed off.

        How much money was taken or if a weapon was involved is unknown at this time.
