A last-minute visit to Hattiesburg ultimately paid off in the form of a scholarship offer for Oxford High quarterback Parker Adamson to play for Southern Miss. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Adamson signed with USM this morning after receiving an offer from first-year head coach Todd Monken Tuesday morning.
Monken was able to extend the offer to Adamson, the Oxford EAGLE Player of the Year in 2012, with little time to spare in relation to his final decision being made.
COLUMN: The only less impressed, less mindful, patient and genuine group of people than the ADD-addled mobile-to-mobile teenagers of 2013 might be college football fans, specifically those in Oxford. (more…) (February 5, 2013)
