      Lartigue hopes to cash in on Rebs’ success with catchers

      During Mike Bianco’s tenure at Ole Miss he has seen a long list of catchers drafted and sign professional contracts.

        Bluegrass State C headed to Ole Miss

        A change of heart led Tyler Jackson to Oxford.

          Rebs land hard-throwing southpaw

          More and more athletes are taking to various social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to publicly announce their college choices.

          Cody Reed is no exception.

          Sunday, the rising sophomore at Northwest Mississippi Community College announced to the world from his personal Twitter account (C_Reed24) that he had decided to stay close to home and play for the Ole Miss Rebels. (July 17, 2012, Page 6)

            Lady Rebels pick up dynamic ‘power guard’

            The new Lady Rebel hoops staff loaded up on transfers and junior college talent in its first recruiting class this past year.

            With an eye towards the 2013 signing class, Ole Miss looks to be focusing on the prep ranks and recently landed its second ‘13 verbal commitment in the form of guard/forward Lyndsay Leikem.

            The Tuscon, Ariz., resident has yet to step foot inside the relatively new Basketball Practice Facility, take in a game at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum or even visit Oxford, but that didn’t prevent her from pledging her signature to Adrian Wiggins and the newly-installed coaching staff two weeks ago. (July 11, 2012, Page 6)

              Lemming likes Rebs’ attempt to build impact pipelines

              COLUMN: Veteran football recruiting analyst Tom Lemming knew Ole Miss was recruiting differently and on a more national scale back in the spring when standout players from the Chicago area listed offers from the Rebels and interest in new coach Hugh Freeze. Lemming, the pioneer of high school recruiting and current analyst for CBS Sports Network, closely follows prospects from Illinois since he resides in the Chicago area.
