Student housing boon in Oxford
Two more large $36 million developments were approved by the Oxford Planning Commission that are geared to student living. The Retreat and Blackberry Hills developers both offered to donate $12,500 and $10,000 respectively to the Oxford University Transit system to be included on the bus route. Speed humps still on the table
The Oxford Board of Aldermen advised the city engineer Tuesday to tweak a 2007 policy on allowing neighborhoods to request speed humps and include adding suggestions from board members and other city officials, including adding the Oxford Pathways Commission as the lead agency to determine priority.
