    OUT board OKs $2.5 million budget

    The Oxford Transit Commission voted to recommend that Board of Aldermen approve the 2014-15 $2.5 million budget. OUT has to approve its budget early in the calendar year so it can be put into a grant application package for federal grants that pay 80 percent of the budget. (February 13, 2014, Page 1, 14)

      Winter bus routes begin Monday

      The Oxford University Transit bus system winter schedule will begin Monday and run through Jan. 17. Most routes will end three hours earlier, at 6 p.m., during the winter break. Ridership numbers keep climbing and OUT officials take home awards from the Mississippi Public Transportation Association. (December 12, 2013, Page 1)

        Transit system’s new home opens

        The Oxford University Transit system celebrated the opening of its new bus facility, the Richard C. Howorth Oxford University Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility on McElroy Drive Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new shop. (December 6, 2013, Page 1A)

          Megabus pumps brakes on fall plans

            OUT gets new routes, modifications for fall

            The Oxford Transit Commission approved the new route map for the Oxford-University Transit system that includes three new routes. Two of the new routes will allow students and staff at the University of Mississippi to park in off-campus lots and shuttle onto campus. (July 12, 2012, Page 1)
