The Twilight Singers to perform at Proud Larry’s

OXFORD TOWN – The New Orleans-based, indie rock band The Twilight Singers will take the Proud Larry’s Stage on Wednesday, May 4. Special guests Margo and The Nuclear So and So’s are scheduled to open the show. In this week’s issue of Oxford Town, guest columnist Wright Thompson shares his thoughts about The Twilight Singers’ new album (“Dynamite Steps”). Thompson has set aside his ESPN responsibilities for a moment to share memories of a very special road trip with Twilight Singer front man Greg Dulli (pictured) and the first time he heard the band’s new album.     San Francisco’s Tea Leaf Green headed to Proud Larry’s with the Jamie McLean Band

    OXFORD TOWN – The San Francisco rock band Tea Leaf Green is headed to Proud Larry’s next Wednesday (April 27).       Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors double up

      OXFORD TOWN – Drew Holcomb (pictured with wife Ellie on the cover this week) & The Neighbors join the live broadcast of Thacker Mountain Radio at Off Square Books tonight (April 7) at 6. Later tonight, the band performs at Proud Larry’s with special guest Mockingbird Sun scheduled to open the show.         LeVere, Mize tag team Oxford this Saturday

        OXFORD TOWN – Cheyenne Marie Mize and Amy LaVere (pictured) will share a bill this Saturday (March 12) at Proud Larry’s, one of Oxford’s most beloved music venues. Mize, based out of Louisville, Ky., and Memphian LaVere, are guaranteed to bring a classic dose of folk music to Oxford and the Proud Larry’s stage this Saturday night. Doors for the show open at 7 p.m. and music is set to begin at 8.           Those Darlins return to Oxford
