        Hinge Dance Company returns to the Powerhouse

        OXFORD TOWN – Hinge Dance Company presents a night of dance, art and music for three nights at the Powerhouse — Thursday, April 19, through Saturday, April 21. The event is titled “Down Home Transit” and all three performances begin at 7:30. General admission seating is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.           Chad Harris releases new EP; set for OLHS fundraiser Friday, April 6 

          OXFORD TOWN – While the EP won’t officially be released until May, Oxford will get the first chance to enjoy native son Chad Harris’ new album “Burning Daylight” on Friday, April 6, at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center.               Oxford ‘crawls’ to art

              OXFORD TOWN – The Oxford Art Crawl begins its 2012 season this Tuesday (Jan. 24). The ongoing event will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month from January through October, lasting from 7-9 p.m. The “crawl” events are free and offer tours of the rotating exhibits at Oxford’s art spaces with small receptions held at each stop.                 Oxford Fiber Arts Festival returns

                OXFORD TOWN – Oxford’s second Fiber Arts Festival is set to re-launch this weekend at the Powerhouse touting activities fro the whole family. The event is hosted by Knit1 Oxford and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.                   ‘Downton Abbey’ set for Powerhouse next Tuesday

                  OXFORD TOWN – For fans of the breakout Masterpiece hit “Downton Abbey,” season two may come a bit early as The Friends of Mississippi Public Broadcasting will hold a sneak preview of the popular drama Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center in Oxford.
