Oxford senior quarterback Guy Cameron Billups completed 13 of 22 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Chargers to their victory over Charleston. The effort, which sparked a team effort by OHS, earned Billups Player of the Week honors. Lafayette’s Jeremy Liggins took home the season’s first EAGLE Player of the Week honor after leading his Commodores past Cleveland 48-12 on Friday night.
Not only was Liggins effective through the air, completing 9 of 15 passes for 117 yards, but he also rushed for 140 yards and three scores on just 10 carries. (August 24, 2010, Page 6)
