                Chargers fare well in tournament

                Oxford’s boys soccer team had a successful weekend in Brandon at the Brooke Welch Tournament. The Chargers tied Jesuit of New Orleans 0-0 before tying Newton County 1-1, defeating Terry 4-1 and tying Madison Central 1-1. (more…) (December 5, 2011, Page 3B)

                  Oxford soccer coach wins top award

                  Laura Flint, the coach of the Under 12 Girls D2 soccer team, was recently named Coach of the Year for girls competitive soccer by the U.S. Youth Soccer Association. Flint, who is also the head coach of the Oxford High girls team, has helped the Oxford Extreme reach great heights during her tenure and she was rewarded with her leadership and dedication by the organization as the top coach in the state of Mississippi.
