Chargers top Grenada, take conference title

The goal of finishing the 2013 season with a perfect record and a Tri-Lakes Conference title came to pass for the Oxford Middle School seventh-grade Chargers Thursday night. Oxford defeated Grenada 34-26 to cap a perfect 8-0 season. (October 18, 2013, Page 7A)

    Oxford tops Batesville, moves closer to title

    Oxford’s seventh-grade football team took another step to winning the Tri-Lakes Conference title Tuesday night with a 34-0 win over Batesville at Bobby Holcomb Field. The Chargers (6-0 overall) scored early and often on the Tigers. (October 2, 2013, Page 7)

      Eighth-grade Chargers blank Commodores 24-0
