Kendricks likes Chargers’ potential with deep team

OHS TRACK AND FIELD — A deep balanced team for both the boys and girls is something Oxford High coach Scott Kendricks will have at his disposal this season. THe Chargers, last season’s boys state champions in Class 4A, start the 2010 season today with a practice meet at Bobby Holcumb field. (March 4, 2010, Page 7)

    WVHS nips Oxford in extra innings

    PREP SOFTBALL — The Water Valley Lady Blue Devils overcame bitterly cold temperatures to defeat the Oxford Lady Chargers 16-15 in the fastpitch softball opener for both teams Tuesday night at Stone Park. Courtney True drove in the game-winning RBI for the Lady Blue Devils in the top of the eighth inning, while pitcher Kelsey Kimzey secured the win in the circle after fielding a ground ball she coaxed OHS into hitting in the bottom of the frame. (March 2, 2010, Page 9)

            DeDe Fitts serves as an inspiration to many

            OPINION – Longtime friend and Oxonian DeDe Fitts died early this week after an extended battle with cancer.
