          For the dorm crowd, a living room

          A CONVERSATION WITH — Eddie Willis is starting a new phase of his life back on the Ole Miss campus at the Wesley Foundation ministry. For many weeks before students set foot on campus Willis was busy preparing a place for them. Now that the students have arrived, Willis is ready to begin his position he sees as a “ministry coach” and help the group grow back into a healthier size. (August 26, 2010, Page 3)

            Oxford school district growing

            The Oxford School District has grown 5 percent since last year with a total enrollement of 3,589 students as of last Monday. Despite growing enrollment, the Oxford School District is focusing in on ways to keep more kids in school until graduation. To improve drop-out rates, the district is developing a new credit recovery program for students who have failed a course twice. By taking the class online class, it will students one last chance to pass the course. (August 24, 2010, Page 1)

                  OHS among top 6 percent in nation

                  Oxford High School was again rated one of the top schools in the nation in Newsweek magazine’s annual list of America’s Best High Schools. The school ranked higher this year, moving up from 1,300 to 1,112.

                    Baughman elevated to Oxford’s head baseball coach

                    The search for a new head baseball coach at Oxford High came to a conclusion Tuesday as the school board approved the hiring of Charger assistant coach Chris Baughman to the position. Baughman, who has been an assistant for the past six seasons, said he was blessed with the opportunity to coach the Chargers. (May 26, 2010, Page 7A)
