Oxford’s Lady Chargers will begin their journey to defend their Class 5A state title Saturday against Senatobia in the North Panola Classic.     Oxford’s Gillom takes her talents to Itawamba C.C.

    An existing relationship and a feel of home has landed Itawamba Community College one of the Oxford Lady Chargers’ team leaders.

      Lady Chargers get defensive in win

      JACKSON — Defensive adjustments have been a big key to success for the Oxford Lady Chargers this season on the basketball court. Tuesday afternoon, in the team’s biggest game of the season, it was a defensive adjustment made at halftime that ended up advancing the Lady Chargers to the MHSAA’s Class 5A state championship game on Saturday. (February 29, 2012, Page 6)
