Oxford football coach Johnny Hill said his team is ready to hit players not wearing gold and blue. After two weeks of practice, the Chargers will be able to do just that today against Corinth in the annual Oxford/Ole Miss Football Jamboree held at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

HATTIESBURG—If first-year Southern Miss football coach Todd Monken has his way, the battle to be the team’s starting quarterback this season will be a short one.

Jason Russell, Oxford’s strength and conditioning coach who also coaches the offensive line, knew it would be a special summer in the weight room from the beginning.
