Chargers host Senatobia in season’s home opener

      Turnovers, miscues doom Oxford in loss to Grenada

      GRENADA — Turnovers and general miscues proved to be the Oxford Chargers undoing in their season opener against Grenada on Friday night. The officials controlling the clock on the field didn’t help matters either.
      OHS lost, 16-15, in large part because of five turnovers committed during the course of the contest and some costly penalties that ended up thwarting potential scoring drives. (August 22, 2011, Page 1B)

            Oxford all-sports passes on sale now

            The Oxford Chargers all-sports booster club memberships for the 2011-2012 now on sale. Membership includes passes to all Oxford Chargers home athletic events except playoff games and invitational tournaments. Memberships start at $45 for individuals, but there are a variety of levels for any budget and family size. Reserved chairback seats for football games are available.

              Lafayette takes doubleheader from OHS

              There were several new faces and numbers to learn for those who attended Thursday night’s summer league baseball game between Lafayette and Oxford at Edwin Moak Field. Less than a month after a veteran OHS team wrapped up the season against Ridgeland, coach Chris Baughman is having to re-tool his lineup with several younger members of the program. (June 3, 2011, Page 6A)
