      Oxford coach Johnny Hill expects Friday night’s MHSAA Class 5A North Half semifinal game to be a real heavyweight fight.           Lady Chargers fall to HHS on late FT

          Oxford’s rally against an experienced Hernando team came up short Monday night in the OHS gym. The Lady Chargers fell behind by as much as 10 but came back to tie it two times in the final 20 seconds only to fall 64-63 to the Lady Tigers. (November 19, 2013, Page 7)

                  Oxford garners wins in openers

                  Oxford coach Drew Tyler wanted his team to buy into being a good defensive team before the season started. His hopes were realized in the opener against Calhoun City Tuesday night as the Chargers rallied to post a 58-54 win over the Wildcats. (November 13, 2013, Page 8)

                    Oxford LB McGhee captures Region 1-5A Defensive MVP award

                    Oxford’s 11-0 regular season wasn’t just noticed by pollsters in the state. The Chargers are ranked fourth in the latest Mississippi prep poll while the coaching staff was honored Tuesday by the Region 1-5A coaches as the Coaching Staff of the Year. (November 13, 2013, Page 8)
