    Sullivan earns complete game win vs. Vols

    Former Oxford Charger Charley Sullivan had a fantastic Friday, allowing just one run in nine innings to lead Alabama to a 12-1 victory against Tennessee. Sullivan allowed just three hits and one walk in the complete-game effort while striking out seven to improve to 1-1 on the year.

      Chargers win slugfest with LHS

      The final Crosstown Classic baseball game of 2013 was not for those with an early curfew.

        Chargers rally past Horn Lake

        Oxford’s first game in its annual spring break tournament wasn’t the cleanest game and it wasn’t always easy for the fans to watch but in the end, the Chargers overcame a 5-1 deficit to post a 6-5 win over Horn Lake Wednesday morning at Edwin Moak Field. (more…) (March 14, 2013, Page 7)

          Chargers blank defending 4A champions

          New Albany, last year’s MHSAA Class 4A state champions, were no match for last season’s 5A champions. The Oxford Chargers polished off the Bulldogs Friday with a 7-0 win on the road.

            LHS rallies to top Chargers in 8th

            Patrick Robey’s first Crosstown Classic baseball game didn’t need to involve an extra inning. Thankfully for the first-year Lafayette head coach, his Commodores made him feel better about the rivalry game thanks to a 6-5 win over Oxford Friday night at W.V.               Doctor clears Oxford’s Elliott to play

                  Chargers overcome cold to finish 3-0 in Amory

                  Cold winter weather wasn’t enough to slow down the Oxford baseball from winning three games in the Amory Tournament. The Chargers improved to 5-1 on the season thanks to three wins in the tournament. Oxford defeated Tupelo 6-4 Friday night and then defeated East Union 4-2 and Itawamba AHS 5-4 on Saturday.

                    Chargers hold on to top North Pontotoc

                    Two postponed dates in the Pontotoc Tournament weren’t enough to deter the Oxford Chargers from earning their second win of the 2013 season Wednesday. The Chargers jumped out to a 3-0 lead on North Pontotoc in the first inning and then broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh en route to a 5-4 win over the Vikings at Pontotoc High.
