Oxford tops Amory, Tupelo in playoff prep

Oxford ended the regular season on a high with two impressive wins over Tupelo and Amory. The Chargers enter their MHSAA Class 5A playoff series against Starkville coming off a 2-0 win over Tupelo Friday and a 6-3 win over Amory in eight innings on Saturday afternoon. The two wins improved the Chargers to 22-6 overall.

    Baughman displeased with effort in win

    Monday’s game at Edwin Moak Field didn’t mean much but it meant everything — if that makes sense.

        Chargers rally to defeat West Point

          Barber, Elliott lead OHS Chargers to Divison 2-5A title

          Oxford’s amazing run in Division 2-5A play continued Friday night with a 7-0 win over Saltillo at Edwin Moak Field.             OHS Little Ten title team to be honored

            Oxford High’s tradition-rich baseball history doesn’t begin and end with the 2005 team that won the MHSAA Class 4A state championship. Before the Chargers won the school’s first division title on the diamond, the 1979 team, led by pitcher Mel Davis, captured the Little Ten South conference title.               OHS Chargers pound New Hope, one win from Division 2-5A title

                    OHS continues to play well at right time

                    A fourth straight victory in Division 2-5A play for the Oxford Chargers Tuesday evening came in the form of a 10-0 shutout of West Point at Edwin Moak Field.

                    The Chargers remained in first place in the standings by taking advantage of mistakes made by the Green Wave in the field, some timely hitting and some key pitches made by Hunter Roth. (April 3, 2013, Page 8)
