    Gibbs headed to ICC

    Former Oxford Charger Luke Gibbs has decided to transfer to Itawamba Community College.

    With several young infielders returning and an incoming signing class full of middle infielders, the redshirt freshman decided it was best he transfer in search of more playing time.

      ‘Dores, Chargers win in NEMCABB action

      Lafayette and Oxford both won two games Monday at the NEMCABB Summer Championships being held at the New Albany Sportsplex. The Commodores bounced back from a 10-2 loss to the Chargers Friday night by defeating North Pontotoc 6-5 in the opener on the single-elimination tournament Monday.         Sullivan has decision to make

        Charley Sullivan didn’t think he’d have much of a decision to make. As it turns out, he does.

              NECC Tigers top Gulf

              The Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers advanced to the MACJC state baseball tournament thanks to two wins over Gulf Coast Monday.                 Oxford tops Amory, Tupelo in playoff prep

                Oxford ended the regular season on a high with two impressive wins over Tupelo and Amory. The Chargers enter their MHSAA Class 5A playoff series against Starkville coming off a 2-0 win over Tupelo Friday and a 6-3 win over Amory in eight innings on Saturday afternoon. The two wins improved the Chargers to 22-6 overall.

                  Baughman displeased with effort in win
