Lady Rebels struggle early, pull away late to beat Southern

The Ole Miss Women’s basketball team used a typical peformance from its All-SEC forward and then some to pick up its latest win. The Lady Rebels defeated Southern University 91-68 Thursday afternoon inside C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (November 21, 2014, Page 6A)

        Ole Miss basketball teams cruise to easy wins

        The Ole Miss men’s and women’s basketball team rolled to a pair of exhibition victories Friday evening in a doubleheader at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. The Ole Miss men went on a 30-4 run over a 9:57 stretch in the first half, turning a 14-11 deficit into a 41-18 lead on the way to a resounding 97-58 win over Delta State in its game. In the opener, the Ole Miss women used 25 points from freshman Toree Thompson and eight rebounds from Kelsey Briggs to cruise to a 111-43 win over Christian Brothers. (November 9, 2014, Page 3B)

          Sisk in line to start tonight’s exhibition for Lady Rebels

          It hasn’t taken Erika Sisk long to prove herself. The former Oxford High standout officially joined the Ole Miss’ women’s basketball team as a scholarship player back in April and has put together a solid summer and preseason camp. It’s been so good that coach Matt Insell said the 5-foot-6 sophomore is in line to be the Rebels’ starting 2-guard when they take on Christian Brothers in an exhibition today at 5 p.m. at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (November 7, 2014, Page 6A)

              Ole Miss breaks ground, gives name to new arena

              Ole Miss’ new multi-purpose arena is scheduled to open in December 2015. Now people know what to call it. The $85-millon arena will be called The Pavilion at Ole Miss, athletic director Ross Bjork said at a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning. (August 1, 2014, Page 6A)
