Ole Miss women's basketball

McFarland can’t lead Lady Rebs past Lamar

Acting head coach Brett Frank has said several times Valencia McFarland’s job is to ensure wins by showing up in multiple areas on the score sheet.

Monday, Ole Miss’ All-Southeastern Conference guard barely found her way onto the scoresheet as the Lady Rebels fell to Lamar 85-71 at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

In 29 minutes, the junior registered just three points on 1 of 8 shooting from the floor. (November 20, 2012, Page 8)

With the backdrop of nearly 4,000 screaming kids at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team overcame an early deficit to knock off Northwestern State 67-51.
