Ole Miss won’t rush into hiring next women’s coach

Don’t expect Ole Miss to bump up its timetable to fill the women’s basketball coaching vacancy just because Mississippi State announced its hire on Tuesday.

According to Executive Associate Athletics Director Lynnette Johnson, the search committee in charge of unearthing Renee Ladner’s successor doesn’t have a specific deadline and doesn’t expect a decision to be made anytime soon. (March 15, 2012, Page 6)

              Ole Miss rallies to top Lady ‘Hogs

              Ole Miss turned the table on their opponent Thursday.

              In games against Vanderbilt, Florida and LSU, the Ole Miss women have fallen victim to lopsided runs that they were unable to overcome.

                  Lady Rebs looking to rebound

                  The Ole Miss soccer and volleyball programs have had a rather difficult week.

                  While the soccer squad lost at No. 20 Tennessee 4-3 in overtime on Friday and then 3-0 at Georgia on Sunday, the volleyball Rebs lost to Kentucky 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19) on Friday and to No. 19 Tennessee 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13) on Sunday.
