Ole Miss softball splits pair with USC

The Rebels got a two-run home run from Allison Brown but couldn’t find the offense that carried the team to a win earlier in the day as Ole Miss (29-20, 6-14 SEC) fell to South Carolina (33-18, 7-13 SEC) 10-2 Saturday in a resumed game from Friday night. (April 26, 2015, Page 1B)

    Ole Miss downs Louisville 5-2

    The Rebels got a solid pitching on the afternoon and struck early with five runs through the first three innings as Ole Miss (26-19) defeated Louisville (24-14) by a score of 5-2 Saturday at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. (April 19, 2015, Page 3B)

      Rebels sweep doubleheader with Southern Miss

      The Ole Miss softball team got timely hitting and a solid pitching performance from Madi Osias on the afternoon as Ole Miss (25-19) swept both games of a doubleheader against Southern Miss (16-26) on Wednesday afternoon. Ole Miss claimed game one by a score of 7-0 before taking game two with a 3-1 victory. (April 16, 2015, Page 7)

        Ole Miss sweeps series at Arkansas with 4-2 win

        FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. The Rebels picked up a series win for the second consecutive weekend, posting a series sweep of the Razorbacks on Sunday as Ole Miss (21-13, 5-7 SEC) put together a seventh-inning rally to defeat Arkansas (14-20, 0-9 SEC) by a score of 4-2. Madi Osias (6-7) picked up the win for the Rebels in relief, working 3.0 scoreless innings and scattering three hits in those frames. She grabbed all three wins on the weekend to help the Rebels run the active win streak out to six games. (March 30, 2015, Page 7)

          Ole Miss softball falls to No. 12 Auburn, 7-3

          It was a power game on Sunday in game two of the series with nine of 10 runs scored in the game coming off home runs as Ole Miss (15-10, 0-5 SEC) fell to No. 12 Auburn (28-2, 2-0 SEC) by a score of 7-3. (March 16, 2015, Page 7)

            Tigers spoil Ole Miss’ SEC home opener

            It was a tight contest early, but a pair of big innings proved too much to overcome as Ole Miss (15-9, 0-4 SEC) fell to No. 12 Auburn (27-2, 1-0 SEC) by a score of 14-3 in five innings on Saturday night in the series opener. (March 15, 2015, Page 3B)

              Rebel softball sets records in doubleheader sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff

              The Rebel offense broke out on Wednesday night as Ole Miss (15-8) set the school record for hits in a game and tied the school record for runs in a game on the way to a doubleheader sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-14). The Rebels picked up an 8-0 victory over the Lady Lions in game one of the afternoon before coming back to claim a 22-3 win in game two. The 22 runs tied the record for runs in a game, a mark last hit in the 2008 season against Alcorn State, and set the record for hits in a game with 21 in game two of the afternoon. (March 12, 2015, Page 6)

                Rebels blank Memphis in home opener

                Sophomore Emily Gaitan pitched her third shutout of the season on Tuesday night as Ole Miss (13-5) blanked Memphis (6-8) in the home opener with an 8-0 victory over the Tigers at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. (March 4, 2015, Page 3B)

                  Ole Miss softball continue win streak, notches pair in Felsberg Invitational

                  MIAMI, Fla. – The Ole Miss softball team continued to pick up the wins on Saturday by taking down two more opponents at the Felsberg Invitational hosted by FIU, defeating Michigan State and Bethune Cookman in a pair of games. Ole Miss (12-4) ran its active win streak out to nine games and improved to 4-0 on the weekend with a 4-3 win over Michigan State (8-7) before closing out the afternoon with a 5-1 win over Bethune Cookman (4-13). (March 1, 2015, Page 4B)

                    Rebels hire Palma as softball assistant

                    Ole Miss head softball coach Mike Smith rounded out his coaching staff Tuesday by naming Sharon Palma as the team’s assistant coach and pitching coach. The former professional pitcher of the Carolina Diamonds in the National Pro Fastpitch League was an assistant coach at Florida International for the 2014 season. (June 25, 2014, Page 6)
