        Rebels set to host Rutgers

        After earning five straight home wins over teams from smaller conferences, the Ole Miss Rebels begin a tougher stretch Saturday with a home game against Rutgers. The matchup is part of the annual SEC/Big East Challenge that Ole Miss has played in two times prior.

        Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy said Wednesday that his team has played “satisfactory” heading into Saturday’s game with the 4-1 Scarlet Knights. (November 30, 2012, Page 7A)

          McFarland can’t lead Lady Rebs past Lamar

          Acting head coach Brett Frank has said several times Valencia McFarland’s job is to ensure wins by showing up in multiple areas on the score sheet.

          Monday, Ole Miss’ All-Southeastern Conference guard barely found her way onto the scoresheet as the Lady Rebels fell to Lamar 85-71 at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

          In 29 minutes, the junior registered just three points on 1 of 8 shooting from the floor. (November 20, 2012, Page 8)

              Lady Rebs open season with win

              BLOG: After what must have seemed like an endless preseason, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team finally kicked off its season Friday evening with a 95-85 victory against Southeastern Louisiana at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.
