    Wahl drafted 161; five Rebels selected overall

    There were no games played at Oxford-University Stadium over the weekend, but that didn’t mean the Rebels weren’t busy.

          LHP Reed selected 46th overall by Royals

          Just a couple of years ago Cody Reed was a crafty left-hander at Horn Lake High who showed some projectability because of his frame.

          Thursday, the Ole Miss signee and Northwest Mississippi Community Ranger was selected 46th overall in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft by the Kansas City Royals.

                Rebels couldn’t find consistency in Raleigh

                Asked about the two meaningless errors at the end of Ole Miss 8-4 win against Binghamton on Saturday, head coach Mike Bianco replied “we are who we are at his point.”

                He’s was right.

                  Offensive struggles lead to Rebels’ exit

                  RALEIGH, N. C. — Andrew Mistone hit a hard shot up the middle.
                  Off the bat it looked like the senior third baseman had prolonged the Rebels’ season for at least one more at-bat, but William & Mary shortstop Ryan Williams snagged the ball, spun and delivered a strike to first for the final out Sunday. (June 3, 2013, Page 8)
