Rebels host UALR tonight

The No. 17 Ole Miss baseball team will host the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans tonight at 6:30 before hitting the road for Athens, Ga., to face SEC-East opponent Georgia for a three-game series this weekend. (April 7, 2010, Page 6)

      Mental errors doom Rebels on Sunday

      It’s beginning to sound like a broken record, mainly because it is.
      For the fifth-straight week the No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels were unable to close out a weekend baseball series on a high note, losing to the Tennessee Volunteers 10-6 at Oxford University Stadium on Sunday. (April 5, 2010, Page 6A)

        Tennessee earns first SEC win, beats OM 5-2

          Rebels top Tennessee 7-3

                Goforth to make first collegiate start tonight vs. MSU

                Those who have been clamoring for David Goforth to get a stab at starting for the No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels baseball team are about to get their wish.

                For the first time since he was a flame-thrower at Neshoba Central High in Philadelphia, Goforth will be a starting pitcher — even if it is on a trial basis.

                Prior to Monday’s practice at Oxford-University Stadium, Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco  confirmed that the sophomore right-hander will get his shot at the starting role tonight against Mississippi State (14-10 overall, 2-4 SEC) tonight in Pearl in the annual Governor’s Cup game at 6:30. (March 30, 2010, Page 8)

                  Gator Chomped: Sunday woes continue for Rebels

                  And the streak continues. In short, Sundays have been unkind to the Ole Miss Rebels baseball squad. For the fourth Sunday in a row, the No. 17 Rebels have been unable to not only piece together timely hits but also find pitching that gives them a chance to take the game.
                  One game after the Rebels’ offense exploded for 15 runs, the No. 8 Gators returned the favor, routing the Rebels 13-1 to avoid a sweep at Oxford-University Stadium. (March 29, 2010, Page 1B)

                    Gators chomp Rebels 13-1, avoid sweep

                    One game after Ole Miss plated 15 runs on 19 hits, the Florida Gators returned the favor by routing the Rebels 13-1.
