Rebels excluded from NCAA Tournament

The waiting game officially ended at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Monday for the Ole Miss Rebels.

During Monday’s NCAA Baseball Tournament Road to Omaha selection show, the field of 64 teams was announced without the Rebels, marking the first time since 2002 that the Ole Miss baseball program has not had a postseason. (more…) (May 31, 2011, Page 8)

      Health of pitchers more involved than just pitch counts

        Rebels hopeful despite exclusion from Hoover

        COLUMN: It was an different sight to see the Diamond Rebels practicing at Oxford-University Stadium instead of playing at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala., on Thursday.

              Razorbacks take two, keep Rebels from SEC Tourney

              FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Ole Miss fell a win short of making this week’s Southeastern Conference Tournament after being swept at No. 30 Arkansas in two seven inning games on Saturday at Baum Stadium.

                Rebels hold on to win pitching duel

                It was a pitcher’s duel from the start between the Rebels and Razorbacks on Thursday night, and though the Rebels blinked first, it was Ole Miss (30-23, 13-15 SEC) that came out on top with timely hitting in a 2-1 win over Arkansas (34-18, 13-15 SEC) at Baum Stadium.                     Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament staying put in Hoover

                    The Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament won’t be leaving Hoover, Ala., anytime soon.

                    On Thursday the conference announced that it has reached an agreement with the Alabama Sports Foundation and the city of Hoover that will keep the tournament locked in to Regions Park until 2016. (more…) (May 20, 2011, Page 6A)
