‘O’ Town Showdown begins today at OHS

    Lady Chargers looking to garner final tuneup

    The last big tuneup for the Oxford Lady Chargers comes this weekend in the annual “O” Town Showdown. Oxford will play two of its final three games before division play begins tonight and Saturday in the OHS gym. OHS coach Shayne Linzy said it was good to get tested a few more times before division play begins and to do it at home was even better. (December 28, 2012, Page 6A)

        Lady ‘Dores surge to beat Horn Lake

        A late surge proved to be crucial for the Lafayette Lady Commodores in their 53-41 victory over Horn Lake, while the Commodores were unable to find consistent scoring in their 52-30 loss to the Eagles on Day 1 of the “O” Town Showdown at the Oxford High gym on Wednesday evening. (December 30, 2010, Page 7A)

            “O” Town Showdown has another good slate

            Some of the better basketball teams in the North Mississippi area will be on display Wednesday and Thursday in the Oxford High gym in the annual ‘O’ Town Showdown.

            OHS boys hoops coach Drew Tyler, who started the tournament with the hopes of bringing the best teams to the area every year, said this year’s field has some good matchups for fans to come watch. (December 28, 2010, Page 6)
