Oxford’s Smith signs to play hoops at NWCC

A team-first attitude has helped lead to a scholarship and another two years of basketball at the junior college level for Oxford’s Brittani Smith.

Smith signed to play for the Lady Rangers, the defending MACJC North Division champions, on Wednesday. Smith, an honorable mention on this year’s Oxford EAGLE All-Area team and first-team All-Division 2-5A, was a joy to be around and a great leader to the 14-10 Lady Chargers, coach Shayne Linzy said. (April 15, 2010, Page 7)
