Yale historian examines Civil War and civil rights at Nutt Auditorium

OXFORD TOWN – Yale historian David Blight will visit Ole Miss on Nov. 16 to share his insights on Civil War remembrance and discuss his latest book, “American Oracle: The Civil War in the Civil Rights Era” in Nutt Auditorium.     Black History Month concludes with celebration

    OXFORD TOWN  To celebrate and round out Black History Month, the Department of Music at Ole Miss is hosting its annual concert “A Celebration of Diversity and Culture” tonight (Feb. 24) in Nutt Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Page 11 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town has full details about the free event which will feature tons of music and dance featuring the Ole Miss African Drum and Dance Ensemble (pictured) and the University of Mississippi Steel Drum Orchestra. (February 24, 2011, Page 11)

      OXFORD TOWN – Words and music between a world-class pianist and a renowned artist come together in a lively discussion next Wednesday. The University of Mississippi Museum presents “An Evening with Bruce Levingston and Robert Storr” at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 at Nutt Auditorium.
