No. 2 Lions maul Rangers 79-7

SENATOBIA — The worst loss in the history of Northwest Mississippi’s football program came at the hands of what looks like the best team in the history of East Mississippi. The No. 2-ranked Lions rolled to a 79-7 win over the Rangers Thursday night at Bobby Franklin Field, scoring at will like their mascot would take down a wounded animal in the savanna. (October 18, 2013, Page 6A)

Thursday night’s MACJC North Division game between the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers and NECC Tigers might as well be called the “Battle of the Commodores.” Almost two handfuls of former Lafayette standouts will be on the sidelines of Bobby Franklin Field in a pivotal game for both teams. (September 18, 2013, Page 6)
