Vikings rally to post 5-4 win over ‘Dores
Lafayette’s 5-4 loss to North Pontotc at W.V. Brewer Field boiled down to not producing enough offense during the course of the game. While the Commodores scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, and had two runners in scoring position with the chance to win the game, not scoring runs in the first six frames came back to haunt them. Lafayette tops North Pontotoc to open division play
Lafayette’s 6-1 win over North Pontotoc Thursday not only gave the Commodores their second straight win in tennis, it also gave them a 1-0 start in Division 2-4A play. Lady ‘Dores come up short for 2-4A title
ECRU — The Lafayette girls basketball team’s gameplan against North Pontotoc’s 6-foot-3 center Chelsea Mabry worked well in Friday’s District 2-4A Division Tournament championship game at North Pontotoc gym.
Amongst double teams most of the game, Mabry managed to put up 11 points on the night, but it was her teammates who ultimately secured a 56-49 win for the No. 1 seed Lady Vikings over the No. 3 seed Lady ‘Dores.
‘Dores hang on to defeat Vikings
It took some late game heroics, but the Lafayette Commodores closed their Division 2-4A with a 54-47 victory against visiting North Pontotoc on Monday.

Lafayette can’t topple Mabry, Lady Vikings
The Lady Commodores didn’t quite close out their Division 2-4A slate like they wanted to Monday.

LHS gearing up for important road game
Lafayette heads into Thursday’s showdown in Ecru with North Pontotoc in unfamiliar territory.
In years past the Commodores have had the Region 2-4A title on lockdown heading into the regular season finale. Thursday, Lafayette (8-2 overall, 3-1 Region 2-4A) must win to secure home field for the first round of the Class 4A playoffs. (October 24, 2012, Page 6)

NEW ALBANY — Lafayette’s bats continued to be as hot as tar under the Mississippi sun Wednesday.
