Fun football helmets on display at University Museum

Fashionistas and football fans alike will find reasons to celebrate with the University Museum‘s newest installation, “Bloomingdale’s Fashion Touchdown: NFL Haute Couture Helmets.” The exhibit is the only one of its kind featuring designer football helmets from Bloomingdale’s Fashion Touchdown, a project that benefited the NFL Foundation. (September 14, 2014, Page 1C)

          Manning doing his best to lead Giants

          NEW ORLEANS — Eli Manning didn’t have much to smile about after his New York Giants fell to his hometown New Orleans Saints 49-24 Monday night.

            Three former Rebels sign on with pro teams

            Former Ole Miss players Jeremiah Masoli and Jonathan Cornell signed rookie free agent deals with NFL squads on Wednesday.

            Masoli inked with the San Francisco 49ers as a running back, while Cornell signed with the Tennessee Titans as a linebacker. According to the Twitter account of former Ole Miss cornerback Jeremy McGee, the New Orleans native has been signed to a free agent deal by the New York Jets this morning.                   Terrico White out with broken foot, Jayme Mitchell traded

                  The Detroit Pistons were hit hard by injuries in their first preseason game.
