After more than two years in the making, Oxford firefighters with Station No. 1 moved into a new station last week that’s not only much roomier, it even has a brass pole to slide down.
The Oxford Board of Aldermen adopted a resolution of intent to issue general obligation bonds not to exceed $5,500,000 during their regular meeting Tuesday evening. The funds will help with several capital projects including a new fire station and the expansion of tennis courts. (July 18, 2012, Page 1, 2)
