Land owner denied access by hospital

Bob King sold 160 acres to a land development company last year who sold it to Baptist Memorial Health Care to build its new $300 million facility. Part of the deal was they would provide access to the 55 remaining acres he still owns. Recently, he discovered a gate padlocked to his property and is hoping he can work things out to avoid a court battle. (August 28, 2013, Page 2)

    Oxford may soon expand

    The Oxford Board of Aldermen voted Thursday to allow City Attorney Pope Mallette to notify the Lafayette County Chancery Court that it will not object to an annexation request from property owners hoping to sell their land to Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. (March 2, 2012, Page 1A)
