National Tourism Week

Visit Oxford promotes Oxford during tourism week

The folks at Visit Oxford are celebrating Oxford’s tourism and hoping to introduce themselves to the community, again, after its re-branding last year from the Oxford Convention and Visitor’s Bureau with a full week of events to celebrate National Tourism Month. For a complete listing of events, see today’s EAGLE. (April 30, 2014, Page 3)

    OCVB observes National Tourism Week

While National Tourism Week is a good way to promote tourism around the country, the Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau spends each work day throughout the year promoting Oxford in various ways. As part of its recognition, the OCVB will be hosting visitors to Oxford from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the Skipwith Cottage next to City Hall. Refreshments, including cookies and cake, will be handed out. A special Double Decker historical tour is planned for 3 p.m. See today’s EAGLE for more information. (May 10, 2012, Page 1, 2)
