The Oxford Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at about 6 this morning in the South Oaks subdivision. Carol Lavett Gary, 43, and her 12-year-old son were found dead. A Lafayette County man was found shot to death in his car Saturday morning, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.
