The streak continues with Rebels’ sweep of MSU
STARKVILLE — For the second game in a row Rebel runs and Mississippi State fielding errors were not in short supply, as the Rebels capitalized on 15 hits and four errors to claim the 19-11 win at MSU’s Dudy Noble Field.
The game was halted after the seventh inning due to a severe thunderstorm warning in the area.
With the win, Ole Miss claims its first three-game sweep of MSU since 2005, and it’s first in Starkville since ’72.

Rebels brave elements, take Game 2 at MSU
STARKVILLE —On what turned out to be a rain-soaked Dudy Noble Field, it was the Ole Miss baseball Rebels that found a way to overcome the elements and take Game 2 of their series at Mississippi State, defeating the Bulldogs 12-10.

Goforth to make first collegiate start tonight vs. MSU
Those who have been clamoring for David Goforth to get a stab at starting for the No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels baseball team are about to get their wish.
For the first time since he was a flame-thrower at Neshoba Central High in Philadelphia, Goforth will be a starting pitcher — even if it is on a trial basis.
Prior to Monday’s practice at Oxford-University Stadium, Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco confirmed that the sophomore right-hander will get his shot at the starting role tonight against Mississippi State (14-10 overall, 2-4 SEC) tonight in Pearl in the annual Governor’s Cup game at 6:30.
