Term limits or not?

There’s a chance Mississippians could vote for an initiative that would limit the number of consecutive terms someone could hold in a particular office; it would be the third time since 1995 that voters have had that opportunity. Our view is that we exercise term limits on all office-holders when we cast our ballots. (April 21, 2015, Page 4)

        How will lawmakers respond to Barbour’s budget?

        Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, heading into his final year in office, has submitted his annual Executive Budget Recommendations to members of the State Legislature. Editor Don Whitten notes that some of the numbers involving budget cuts are lower than anticipated, but there are expected to be battles in several areas before the FY 2012 budget is eventually adopted. (November 19, 2010, Page 4A)
