          Carr dealing with tragedy of house fire

          Yes, bad things do happen to good people. Just ask Janice Carr, whose home and all her belongings were destroyed last week in a fire. Carr, who’s involved in a large number of community-oriented projects and programs, is dealing with the loss, however, as Editor Don Whitten writes in explaining her positive approach to life’s challenges. (April 27, 2011, Page 4)

            DeDe Fitts serves as an inspiration to many

            OPINION – Longtime friend and Oxonian DeDe Fitts died early this week after an extended battle with cancer. Fitts’ death sparks pleasant memories of times spent with Fitts as well as bringing into focus the grieving process we all go through when losing a loved one. (January 13, 2010, Page 4)
