        Giving a hero his ’15 minutes of fame’

        Staff writer Alyssa Schnugg planned to interview retired Lt. Col. Simon LaVois “Spider” Webb for a Veterans Day story, but the World War II veteran passed away before she could do the story. Today, with Memorial Day coming up, she lets Webb tell one of his war stories with his own words as she runs a piece he wrote about an unfortunate training incident. (May 23, 2014, Page 4A)
