Lafayette senior basketball player Shaq Isom has been nominated as one of 2,000 finalists nationwide for the prestegious McDonald’s All-American team.The final rosters of 24 boys and 24 girls will be announced during a selection show on ESPNU on Feb. 10, with the annual game being played on March 30. Kendrick says Rebs right fit for future
The fit just feels right for Jelan Kendrick.
During halftime of the Ole Miss men’s game game against Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday, the former McDonald’s All-American and newest member of the Rebels was made available to the media for the first time.
While much has been made of Kendrick’s up-and-down prep career and his short-lived tenure at the University of Memphis, the transfer declined to discuss his past, instead focusing on the future and where he hopes to take the Ole Miss basketball program. (January 3, 2011, Page 6)
Rebels sign McDonald’s All-American guard
Ole Miss head basketball coach Andy Kennedy announced today that former Memphis guard Jelan Kendrick is transferring to play for the Rebels.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, the 6-foot-6, 200-pound Atlanta native can start practicing with the team in the upcoming semester and will be eligible to suit up for the Rebels next December. (December 30, 2010, Page 7A)
