      ‘Dores earn division sweep of Lewisburg

      Lafayette earned a home sweep of Division 2-4A foe Lewisburg Friday night. The Lady Commodores ended a four-game losing streak with a 70-25 win over the Lady Patriots.           Anderson sees the positives despite loss

          Saturday’s season finale didn’t yield the ultimate result the Lafayette Commodores soccer team was hoping for.

                  Commodores ready for familiar foe, again

                  The Lafayette Commodores eliminated one familiar foe only to advance to face another.

                    Lafayette’s 7th-inning rally comes up short

                    The Lafayette Lady Commodores may have been eliminated from the Class 4A playoffs last Friday, but that didn’t prevent them from showing heart late in Wednesday’s home game against Lewisburg.

                    Trailing by four runs, the Lady ‘Dores plated two runs in the last frame to get within striking distance before the Lady Patriots were able to close the game out and earn the 6-4 victory. (April 19, 2012, Page 8)
