UPD’s Tutor receives Officer of the Year award
University Police Department’s Jane Tutor took home the award for Officer of the Year last night during the annual awards banquet of the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officer’s Association. Tutor, captain of investigations, has been with UPD since 2003. Winning the award for Support Personnel of the Year was Angie Hughes, a 911 dispatcher with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department for 13 years.
Oxford OKs horse patrols on Square
The Oxford Board of Aldermen approved a request to spend $4,360 to send Oxford Police Department officers and four horses to mounted officer training.
