    Tree Board OKs parking lot request

    After being denied by the Oxford Planning Commission, the Oxford Tree Board showed its support Tuesday by voting to approve the request for a variance of the landscape ordinance from the owners of the Oxford East Shopping Center parking lot on University Avenue. (November 10, 2010, Page 2)

      Planners nix tree compromise for parking lot

      Efforts to reach a compromise on how many trees should be placed in the Oxford East Shopping Center were thwarted on Monday when the Planning Commission turned down the owner’s request for a variance. The owners had requested to plant 18 trees instead of 60 due to economic hardship. (November 9, 2010, Page 1)
