Lafayette gets big match win over Senatobia

      Lafayette falls to Pontotoc in tennis

      The Commodores narrowly missed out winning in boys doubles and mixed doubles Thursday in their tennis match with Pontotoc. The setbacks ended up resulting into a 5-2 win for Pontotoc. Mallory Davis earned one of the two points for LHS in the match as she defeated Lauren Clayton 6-1, 6-1 in singles action. The other win for the Commodores came at No. 2 boys doubles as Hunter Knight and Jacob Roberts topped Jacob Hatcher and Jacob Ferguson 6-1, 7-5. (more…) (March 4, 2011, Page 8A)

        Lafayette takes down Lewisburg in tennis

          Swindoll ready to lead Lafayette in 2011

          Lafayette’s success on the tennis courts should continue to grow this season thanks to the hiring of veteran instructor and coach Debbie Swindoll. The former standout at Mississippi State has the Commodores pointed in the right direction again this year and looking forward to another impressive run in the Class 4A playoffs.               Lafayette falls in round 2 of tennis playoffs

              Lafayette’s tennis season came to an unfortunate end Thursday as the Commodores lost 5-2 to New Albany in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs. LHS ends the year at 10-4. (April 30, 2010, Page 8A)

                LHS tennis playoff match moved

                The Lafayette tennis team’s North Half playoff match against Greenwood has been moved to Thursday at 4 p.m. The match will take place at the Ole Miss tennis courts next to Oxford-University Stadium. (April 21, 2010, Page 9)

                  LHS tennis places second in 2-4A tournament
