‘Dores finish second at Class 4A championship; Lady ‘Dores place fourth

Lafayette’s goal of topping South Pike to win the MHSAA Class 4A boys powerlifting title fell just short Saturday at the Mississippi Coliseum. The Commodores were able to come in second as a team in the annual event thanks to five top four finishes. (more…) (April 15, 2013, Page 9)

      ‘Dores have chance to shine at 4A state meet

      If the Lafayette Commodores lift like coach Cody Stubblefield knows his atheltes can, then Saturday should be a good one at the MHSAA Class 4A state meet.             Lady ‘Dores, ‘Dores fare well in opening meet

              LHS Commodores want to honor Mills

              Lafayette’s Commodores are set to begin the 2013 powerlifting season at the Pontotoc Invitational with a veteran team but also with some changes from a year ago. One of the biggest changes revolves around the unfortunate death of John Mills, who finished third in the 114-pound weight division at last year’s state meet. (January 18, 2013, Page 8A)

                Lady ‘Dore powerlifters looking for strong opener

                Depth and experience are two of the many reasons Lafayette girls powerlifting coach Sandra Smith feels good about her team heading into the start of the 2013 season.
