        Commodore pitchers shut down Grenada

        Lafayette’s pitching staff earned two shutouts over Grenada in middle school baseball action Monday night at W.V. Brewer Field. Lafayette earned a 8-0 win in the first game of the doubleheader while the two battled to a 0-0 tie in the nightcap. (March 9, 2010, Page 8)

          LMS-OMS split opening day double-dip

          MIDDLE SCHOOL BASEBALL — Oxford and Lafayette split a pair of middle school baseball games at Edwin Moak Field on Monday to open the season for both teams. The Chargers won the first game of the double-header 6-5, while Lafayette won the nightcap 10-2. (March 2, 2010, Page 9)
