Senatobia rallies to top Lady ‘Dores

SENATOBIA — Lafayette had all the momentum.
The Lady Commodores cruised to a 10-point victory in the third set of the MHSAA Class I North Half volleyball championship to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five match against Senatobia, needing to capture just one more game to advance to Saturday’s state title match. (October 30, 2013, Page 8)

    Lady ‘Dores cruise to North Half final

    HOLLY SPRINGS — Lafayette is one of the last four volleyball teams standing.
    The Lady Commodores eased their way into the North Half final with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-19, 25-13) of H.W. Byers in the second round of the MHSAA Class I state playoffs Saturday afternoon in Holly Springs. (October 28, 2013, Page 4B)

          LHS sweeps Choctaw Co. out of playoffs

          BLOG — It took Lafayette just three sets to get back where it was in last year’s playoffs.

          The Lady Commodores swept Choctaw County 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-16) in their MHSAA Class I first-round playoff tilt Saturday morning at the LHS gymnasium to set up a second-round matchup with Region 2′s top seed, Belmont, on Tuesday. (more…) (October 19, 2013)

            Lafayette holds off Oxford to win in 5

            Oxford didn’t make it easy, but Lafayette notched another win over the Lady Chargers Thursday night.
            Lafayette won the first two games only to watch Oxford fight back to take the next two before using a fast start in the fifth and final game to claim a 3-2 (25-21, 26-24, 17-25, 14-25, 15-9) victory at the LHS gymnasium to sweep the season series from the Lady Chargers. (October 11, 2013, Page 6A)
