Square parking meters reviewed

The Courthouse Square Preservation Commission reviewed proposed meters that could be seen around the Square if leaders chose to go with a paid parking system. Commissioners also reviewed new plans from Hotel Oxford and while admitted they were better, tabled the COA approval to allow time for a work session to work out details of the newest design. (January 7, 2014, Page 1)

    LMS receives new technology

    Some 240 students at Lafayette Middle School are getting to use special clickers to answer questions in class, while teachers are using wireless notepads to see whether students are getting the answers right. The new devices are part of a $4,000 grant from the Lafayette Endowment for Education. (January 19, 2010, Page 7)
