No charges in solid waste truck death

The driver of a Lafayette County solid waste worker will not face any criminal charges after the truck he was driving went off the side of a road and rolled on top of another  solid waste employee, killing him. (May 1, 2015, Page 1A, 2A)

    A Lafayette County solid waste employee was killed this morning when a garbage truck overturned on County Road 2004. The incident is under investigation by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department. (April 23, 2015)

        City swats litter bugs

        On Wednesday, an Oxford Police Department officer issued a citation to the residents of a house on Beanland Drive that has had several complaints about leaving beer cans and other garbage laying around outside.
